Marvin has a long and rich tradition of quiet, caring ministries. This foundation of caring for one another in love is manifested through numerous activities in the life of Marvin Church. We see the hands and feet of Jesus at work among us through our pastors, through Sunday School classes and through individuals and small groups whose concern and love for others have led them to offer their particular gifts to members in need.
Stephen Ministry, Christian lay caring ministry for those in need, is a vital part of our congregation’s mission to receive, live and share the life of Christ. Click here to see a video about Stephen Ministry at Marvin.

This support team is for those who have loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia. They meet the second Sunday of each month.
For many years, the Home Department has shared their time and their hearts with the homebound members and friends of our congregation. We are continually grateful for their efforts and know that these visits are a blessing to all who receive them.
As our list of elderly and homebound friends continues to grow, the need for additional visitors is vital. Please let us know of your desire to call on folks who will appreciate you more than you can imagine. You will be assigned friends to visit as often as you are able. Since this is an action-oriented ministry, meetings are only required quarterly to visit and share joys and concerns about assigned contacts.
