Sanctuary worship at Marvin is a peaceful service rich in tradition and liturgy.
Worshipers gather each Sunday morning for services at 8:45 and 11 in the beautiful and historic sanctuary. Sanctuary worshipers enjoy hearing the awe-inspiring pipe organ each week, and these services often feature special music including piano, harp and brass.
12:05 p.m. on Wednesdays in the chapel
Mid-Week Meditation is a 30-minute mid-week worship service including a meditation, scripture reading, prayer and Communion. The service is set for 12:05 p.m. each Wednesday in the chapel. It is a great opportunity for all those who are downtown or simply want an encounter with God during the middle of the week.
6 p.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of each month in the chapel
The format for evening worship is old-time gospel singing followed by a service of prayer and devotions. All our pastors participate in this service on a rotating basis. From time to time, there is also a fellowship after services.
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month in all morning services, and each week in Mid-Week Meditation. All are welcome at the Lord's table.
If you can't make it to church, watch a delayed television broadcast of traditional worship at 10 a.m. each Sunday on CBS 19, Tyler cable channel 11. Sermons from worship in the sanctuary and in Herd Auditorium are available on the web site.
